Beware fake £50 notes
Beware! Please help us by alerting all businesses and members of the public to a conman who is passing off forged £50 notes in the area. This is not the first time this has happened in the Levels area in the past 12 months. Two shops in Langport are the most recent victims. In this instance we understand that the con is being perpetrated by a male who is both well spoken and convincing.
Please beware. He may simply move on but encourage people to keep an eye out right across the Levels. There is a very real possibility that he will simply take off to a nearby community and try the same trick again. If anyone has information that could be useful, please contact the police using the 101 number.
